IElock setting up on a server

"Holly crap talk about making my people more productive" R. L. says of his 500 help desk users using IE Lock.

If you have downloaded the IElock free trial, then you know how easy it is to setup and control Internet access on a single PC, but what about controlling a group of users ?

Its easy!! You can simply setup IE lock to point at a configured XML file hosted on a server, this way you can set up your IE restrictions list once and then just point all the IE users at this file. For detailed led instructions see the Simpliciti IELock web site page

Simpliciti Lockdown Workspaces modifications

Did you know that the Simpliciti Lockdown user interface is workspace based ? This makes Simpliciti lockdown extremely easy to modify and distribute to you end users.

The workspace is configured on the settings screen and when you make a change on this screen and save it, then the changes you have made are embedded into the Simpliciti lockdown workspace. This file is typically only between 250k and 500 k in size making it very easy to distribute to you end users.

Along with the settings you can configure on the setting screen, the Simpliciti lockdown workspace is also easily (an inexpensively) modifiable by our software services people. Typical modifications we are asked to do are to turn off the message timer before the attract loop is called, reconfigure the navigation bar to either add or reduce the number of buttons available, changes colors, add company logos and change the positions/ size of the navigation bar or other screen components.

The modified workspace with your requested changes is then returned to you and you simply run it in stead of the original workspace, no underlying run time software is changed.
Because of our workspace type of approach you can easily have multiple workspaces with different look and feel and options for your different types of end users.

If you would like to see some examples of different simply lockdown workspace simply download our simpliciti lockdown browser, then send me an email and I'll send you a few more examples of modified workspaces
